General racing rules in CVR

Breaking the following rules will cause consequenses that the jury will decide case by case.

  1. It is forbidden to teleport into pits from the track unless it’s necessary because of some bug in game. If you teleport during qualification or race you’re not allowed to return to track in that session.
  2. All intentional crashing or distracting fellow drivers is forbidden during all sessions.
  3. Weaving and pinching is forbidden in our races.
  4. If a driver causes fellow driver to go off track it’s mandatory to give gained positions back if it’s reasonably possible.
  5. We don’t use live cut penalties, but intentional cutting for gaining advantage is forbidden.
  6. During yellow flags it’s mandatory to slow down to the pace that allows reaction if there are other unexpectedly behaving cars on the track.
  7. Rage quits are forbidden. Drivers should have enough respect for fellow drivers to finish the race even if it doesn’t go along expectations. Ragequitting is rude.
  8. All unsportsmanlike conduct is forbidden on and off track.
  9. After checkered flag drive into the pits or park on the roadside. Do not crash into other drivers or environment.

Other things to be aware of

We will be utilising as much as possible Custom Shaders Patch’s server side options, so using CSP is mandatory in our races. Preferably the latest version. That will enhance realism greatly. Here’s few examples:

  • Historically pitlanes started to have speed limits around 1990s so most of our races don’t need them
  • Also pitlane collisions can be enabled (unless pitboxes are too tight to do it)
  • Better physics as CSP enhances AC physics quite a lot
  • Also we can salvage cars that get stuck on walls or drop through map
